Retriderm is unusual for me because it feels like a light silicone primer, rather than a gel or a cream. It does everything I expect from a retinol treatment, and it's very gentle and nonirritating. Personally, I feel that I need a light moisturizer over this, because without moisturizer, it makes my skin feel tight in the morning. This is the first retinol I've used regularly that needs a moisturizer to supplement it (for me). When I was younger, my skin was oilier, and I think this would have been perfect. Other retinols I've used successfully are Green Cream 6 (I love, love this stuff), Skinceuticals 1.0, Dermadoctor Poetry in Lotion 1.0, and Afirm 3x. I like Retriderm very much though, and my only issue is the tight feeling in the morning. I occasionally use Retriderm around my eyes, and, unlike some other retinols, it causes no irritation of that skin. I have to use retinol sparingly around my eyes.
