Use with CAUTION
”
-November 28, 2008
I am 19 years old with fair combination/dry skin (confusing I know, but possible) and I had used been using this product for about 9 months before I went on a vacation this summer. On my vacation I went from a hot, humid, sunny climate to a cold, dry climate and my skin freaked out. I broke out and then my skin dried out and nothing I did seemed to make it less dry, then i developed these dry discolored patches of skin on my cheeks in two places, one of them about the size of a quarter, and I decided to use this cleanser (I used it weekly)to try to exfoliate away the dry patches. I left it on for some time hoping it would exfoliate better, no longer than 7 mins, and I felt some stinging so I went to wash it off, when it was all washed off my face was BLEEDING where the two dry discolored patches had been! I had literally BURNED them off with the glycolic acid in this cleanser! who knew it was so strong? Needless to say I was devastated, and to top things off my cousins wedding was in 3 days, and for the next week and a half I walked around with SCABS on BOTH SIDES OF MY FACE! NOTHING can cover that up! BE CAREFUL WITH THIS CLEANSER! IF you have sensitve skin USE IT WITH CAUTION and NEVER leave it on your skin! I can only hope my warning spares some people's faces, because I know I am not the only person who has left a glycolic acid cleanser on their face to exfoliate extra, just the only one I know of who burned themselves.

Made it worse...
”

I 'm in my late 20s and use to have combination skin with blackheads on my nose. Because my t-zone is oily and I get occasional pimples (1 or 2 a month), I decided to try this. Unfortunately, after using this, it made my face very oily, so oily that I am constantly blotting away. When I went in for a facial recently, the aesthetician told me that my skin has become really rough and dry although it looks super oily because it's trying to compensate for the dryness, this is before I said anything about the products I use. A month before that, I had a facial at a different place and the aesthetician there also told me that my skin was dry. I'm switching to a gentle milk cleasner!

NOT effective at fighting ACNE
”
-January 3, 2008
Im 18 years old and until about 6 months ago i had pretty good skin, i would go months with perfectly clear smooth skin and then there was the occasional ONE (read: ONE) pimple at a time. Fast forward and 6 months later i have breakouts all over my cheeks that are bumpy and really red and whiteheads everywhere. I did my homework and though the reviews on this product were great so i bought it along with the Glycare I toner or whatever its called hoping for the same miraculous results as id read other reviewers had. Recieved it just before thanksgiving...now its January, more than a month and no change! Sure my skin is smoother, but i still have just as many if not more pimples than i did a month ago. I have been using the Glycare cleanser and toner in conjunction with Ziana acne gel (its a prescription) and my own moisturizer and NONE ofit hasnt helped one bit. I know for a fact that my acne is stress related because in July i had perfect skin and in August when i became stessed out i started to break out ...and im still stressed out...so im still breaking out. I dont know what to do! its not that i dont reccomend these products, theyre just NOT THE ACNE MIRACLE that everyone has claimed them to be!!!!

Amazing!

Last year adult acne became a huge problem for me. I didn't have acne in high school, and now in my 30's I have to deal with it. I tried everything including ProActiv which dried out my skin. Glycare I, along with M.D. Forte's Facial Cleanser I have been the success story for me. I saw visible results within the first 2 weeks of use! Plus, my oily skin is under control AND my skin is soft and smooth as well as acne free.

This product is great at keeping my skin clear. I use it after my glycolic cleanser and i can feel it working straight away. The next day my blackheads are gone and my skin feels less oily. It is quite pricey but well worth it.

I've been using this product for about three months, and I have definitely noticed my oily, acne-prone skin improve. There is less oil & breakouts...but I think I may try the Glycare II next time for a little more boost.

GoodBye Oily SKIN!!
”
-May 28, 2003
I am a 23 year old black female. I have had extremely oily skin for as long as I can remember. I would wash my face in the morning and by noon I would go to the bathroom and blot my face with paper towels. My skin was so oily people would ask me sometimes "why are you sweating?". How embarrasing! My makeup NEVER stayed put. I tried several different from the dermatologist to no avail. I have been using this product with Oxy clensing pads and the results are great! I've never seen anything work this well on oily skin.. This product is very strong! I can only use it once or twice a day.Any questions feel free to e-mail me at jahzman@hotmail.com. Thank you!!

Amazing product

I have adult acne, extremely oily skin, AND sensitive skin. This product is the only thing that works consistently on me without causing flakiness, peeling, or irritation. I've tried EVERYTHING, from Murad to Neutrogena, and this is the only stuff that works! If it starts to sting when you apply it regularly, give yourself one or two nights off. After a few weeks, I've noticed a definite improvement in my complexion.

Try this first!

About a year ago, I developed a serious acne problem. Being 26 years old at the time, I never thought I would endure such severe acne. As a teenager and up until then I had always had blemish-free skin for the most part. I was even complimented on it regularly. Each day, my face was becoming more and more affected. I quit going out, quit seeing my friends, and even missed a considerable amount of work. I visited three different doctors that prescribed over seven different medications. Before and after those medications, I researched every possible remedy from over the counter treatments to homeopathic anecdotes on the internet. Out of all the methods I tried, only two seemed to make a difference. Proactiv helped but I seemed to build up immunity to it all too quickly. The other successful item I tried was Clindomycin, a prescribed medication (and Benziclyn - a combination of Benzoyl Peroxide and Clindomycin). I still use that regularly. The only downside to using Clindomycin was that it killed all the severe acne, on face and body (highly recommended by the way) but didn't seem to handle the minor acne that kept me from returning to my old complexion. That's when I tried M.D. Forte's Glycare I. A friend of mine suggested it months ago and I wish I had listened sooner. I have been utilizing this product for about two weeks now and notice a difference already. Sure, we'd all like to see results overnight but these things take time. I'm impatient and this certainly started showing results more quickly than I anticipated. I'd say results started after about one week. Since the Clindomycin I was using was killing the acne, the reason I purchased the Glycare was to treat my oily skin that seemed to be getting a bit out of control. I'm not sure if that was due to the use of other products or just one of those things that happened, like the acne when it started. It not only took care of my oily complexion but also started working hard on the remaining acne! My face has almost returned to its normal appearance and all I have to say is if you're experiencing acne problems like I was, try having your doctor prescribe you Clindamycin and GET THE M.D.FORTE GLYCARE! Hopefully, you won't have to endure what I went through for the last year.
