Pros: slightly thicker than regular formula, creamier texture is easier to apply
Cons: temporary tackiness when first applied, not as strong as regular formula, does not absorb into skin quickly
Ease of Use
Bring back the Regular formula!!!
-May 11, 2016
I have used the regular formula for many years and love it. It's the only thing that helps to keep my acne in check.
Apparently, Skin Store has stopped stocking the regular, or maybe MD Formulations discontinued it? Either way, I'm very disappointed.
I thought the sensitive formula would be slightly weaker than the regular, but it is much weaker. It also has a tacky feel to it directly after it is applied. This goes away after a few minutes.
All the same, I like the feel of the regular formula better. The regular is more watery, but it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a residual tackiness on my face.
The verdict is still out for me whether or not the sensitive formula will be an acceptable alternative to the regular (hence 4 stars). It depends on how my face responds to it. Truthfully, I'm skeptical that it will work as well. I will try to remember to update this review in a month or so after I have had a chance to test it out.
Still, I'm very disappointed that the regular formula is no longer available. I was willing to pay the price for it because it was the only thing that worked exceptionally well for me. Please bring it back!!!
after the regular renewal serum was out of stock from the manufacturer i thought to try the sensitive skin serum and found the benifits to be quite minimal. My skin is sensitive and i do have acne, however i didn't notice a "shedding" of the skin effect as the regular one has. The serum it self is very watery and hard to rub together without it dripping in through my fingers.
