I got this for the hold with out that stiff crunchy feely. I didn't like the way it felt the day I used it. Hair felt kind of gunky and a little stiff in places. But the next day I noticed my style had held nicely and was not messed up from sleeping on it. My son's girlfriend seen it and said "I love that stuff" so I gave it to her. Now after reading the other reviews, I think I might have used too much and am willing to give it another try.

Alterna makes a full line of excellent hair care products, highlighting the fact that hemp is an amazing plant that has a thousand uses. This hard hold gel is really good in that it takes only a tiny amount to keep my hair in place all day, but it still has a natural feel to it. It's not rock hard. I can't say enough good things about it, and to find it at the Skin Store for a fantastic price was a double bonus.

I was a little concerned this gel would be too stiff. However, it wasn't at all. I have above the shoulder length curly hair that I blow out and this product gives me enough hold to keep my blow out with body and bounce. It was just what I needed after my last hair cut because I wasn't satisfied with my shorter/layered style until I used this gel. Alterna gives you so many choices.
