This SkinMedica SPF 30 leaves a great base for my powder makeup. I always have a better finish when I use it. Does go on white but fades quickly. I am on my 4th tube and will continue to buy.

I used this product before they changed the formula. I hesitated to buy it again with some of the reviews. I'm so glad I did. I find the new formula lighter weight, and it goes on even better than before. This is the only SPF I have ever used more than one container. It stays nice looking on my face all day. It doesn't bother my eyes. I find it to be the BEST sunscreen for me.

This prod. goes on dry not as smooth as skinmedicas prev. environmental moisturizing sunscreen which I loved. As far as a sunscreen goes it does the trick.

Best so far but not perfect

I was reccommended this by my dermatologist. Prior to this I was using neutrogena's oil-free 45spf. My skin type is dry everywhere but along my hair line, where it can get a bit oily. I live in austin, and you can definitely get a good sweat going down here! My experience with the product, after using it for a month, is that I dont break out. However, it's a bit much in my naurally more oily areas. Additionally, I've begun to notice teeny tiny little blocked pores in those areas and above my eyebrows and alone the side of my nose where my sunglasses sit. Still, this is an improvement over other sunscreens. Those I couldn't even put on my non-dry areas or Id definitely break out. I agree with the other reviewer about the white film. I've tried makeup over it, and it's not good. It's still a bit too greasy, there's the whiteness, and it can get a grainy texture when you try to rub something else over it, even hours later. Still, living down here you have to use something, and this seems to be the best they've come up with yet as far as a facial sunscreen goes. I'll continue to use it, but I'm open if something better comes along.

Great Product!

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I am allergic to so many ingredients (including silica which is in most sunscreens) and most products clog my pores and cause acne for me. This is the only product I've found that does not do either of those things while providing at least an SPF of 30. In addition it also has strong UVA and UVB blocking, is photostable and has lots of great antioxidants. I have finally found a product that meets all of my criteria for a sunscreen. My only complaint is that I have to use something else or in addition to this in the area under my eye because I need something more emollient before I put on concealer. Also it does leave a slight white film on my face which takes a while to sink in. I don't know how this would work with foundation because I don't use foundation. Those of you prone to break-outs and/or with a lot of allergies should definitely try this sunscreen! I just pray that they never change the formula.
