I've almost finished this bottle of shampoo along with the conditioner. The texture for the shampoo is actually pretty nice, however, I found it difficult to lather. So everytime I wash my hair I have to use more shampoo than I needed. Another thing is I have very dry, color treated hair. Using this shampoo makes my hair a lot coarser, harder, and drier. I absolutely hated in while I was washing my hair. However, when I blow dry it, the hair becomes light weighted, very bouncy, and volume up my hair quite a bit. I guess it's because of this I haven't give up on this shampoo and toss it away, but it really makes my hair harder though.

“Mmmm, maybe not worth the price.”-April 5, 2008
This shampoo is nice, and it leaves my hair soft and with a bit more body, but for the price, I would expect more of an "experience." Also, I don't care for the scent. It's a bit old-ladyish. I'd like a richer lather too. This is definitely a small matter, but the bottles aren't very handy in the shower. They tip and are hard to handle.

“exceptional”-October 22, 2007
I was a bit skeptical when the product description mentioned that one would see results after the first use. Absolutely true! The shampoo left my hair exceptionally soft and shiney. The results justify the price. Can't wait to try Alterna "10".
