Based on the other 2 reviews and 2 Alterna product samples I was sent, I thought I'd love this product. I have straight, thin, fine hair. I use this product every morning on damp hair and then style. It doesn't hold the style.

Truly a great product

I have very fine, straight, and thinning hair. I have used a great many products that "say" they add volumn and hold, but that is all those products do, great talk no results. Alterna Life Volumizing Spray Gel is the first product that actually does the job for me. Good volumn and hold at last. Soft hair, no sticky feel, and no need for drying hairspray. If your like me with fine, straight, and thinning hair, give this a try. I hope you'll me as happy as I am.

I spend $300 every eight weeks to maintain my short cut and color, and hate loading up with tons of product to achieve volume and hold. Almost everything I've used so far causes really bad bed-head the next morning. I've been using Alterna Caviar shampoo and conditioners for several months, and started using this spray gel about three weeks ago. In order to focus on the roots, I spritz six-seven times into my hands, and then apply by hand from the scalp outwards. This, with a few shine drops from Aveda, are all I use on my wet hair before blow-drying to achieve beautiful, moveable volume and hold that actually still looks good the next morning. Highly recommended.
