I really like the light, subtle smell of Amazing Grace because it isn't overpowering. I have very dry, sensitive skin and I've found that this Body Emulsion is soothing, moisturizing and non-irritating to my skin. I read where one reviewer said the scent doesn't last on her but I usually apply the body emulsion and then lightly spritz on the fragrance creating layers of scent. The smell lasts even longer on me when I shower with the Body Wash prior to applying the lotion and fragrance. But even if I use an unscented body wash when showering, if I add a layer of the lotion and a spritz of the perfume, I can still smell this soft scent on my skin hours later. My guess is that Amazing Grace is just like any other fragrance line... it reacts a little differently on everyone and it probably depends on your body's chemistry as to how long a scent will last. I've found this to be true with many scents that I've used; however, I don't find that to be the case when I use Amazing Grace. I could be wrong, but I also think that the differences in humidity and weather also play a importrant part in whether the fragrance you wear lasts a long time or if it evaporates quickly. But that is an observation I've made based upon my own personal fragrance experiences and not necessarily a fact that can be applied to everyone.

I read on another site that Amazing Grace had changed their formula and that the beautiful scent wasn't lasting. I bought this gift set, and found that I can spray myself very liberally, and within an hour I hardly even smell it on myself. I hate perfume that cloys, but I am so disappointed in philosophy. Maybe if enough women complain, they will go back to their old formula.

I love amazing grace perfume and I am all about layering! I love that this comes with the lotion. When I'm in the shower, I use the Amazing Grace shower gel, then I follow up with this lotion and then perfume. Gorgeous smell that lasts all over in non offensive manner. Amazing!

I absolutely love this set! I am not crazy about Philosphy's skin care line (I am a big Jan Marini fan), but I do love Philosophy's fragrances. As everyone knows, Amazing Grace is a cult classic...one of the best selling scents out there. Fragrance is a personal thing and everyone is different, but for me, this is one of my favorites (I also use Aquolina Pink Sugar and Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Abricot). Scent is very light and not overpowering in any way. Highly recommend this set, as the lotion feels wonderful on the skin and provides a nice layer when used in conjunction with the spray fragrance.
