“Like it, don't love it”-September 18, 2009
I had used the DDF Ultra Light Moisturizing Dew, and liked it, but as I am always up for trying something new, I tried this product. I do like it, however, when I smooth it on my face, it's a little thick and almost sticky. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a sticky feeling afterward, but it's like I have to rub harder than I like to on my face. The smell is lovely, and it does what it is supposed to, but I actually prefer the DDF moisturizer. It has no smell (which is nice for sensitive skin), and it goes on nicer than this product. I ended up going back the DDF. In the end, though, they both feel similar once they're on the skin. Hope this review helps!

“Light”-May 4, 2008
I am in my mid 50's and still suffer with oily skin. This is the lightest moisturizer I have ever used. I must admit my oily skin feels a little dry after putting this on, but I prefer feeling dry and looking matte over oily shiny skin any day. As the day wears on the oils from my skin breaks thru but it is the one product that I have found to work the best at keeping my skin matte longer that anything else.

“LOVE IT”-October 20, 2007
If I were stranded on an island . . . I'd want to have this moisturizer. It's that good. It does exactly what it says. I love it! This is the only product that I've found that keeps the big, inflamed, painful kind of bumps off my face. It keeps little small ones off too. It is just amazing!

“Truly Excellent!”-June 16, 2007
I have had acne prone skin all of my life and have been through practically all types of prescribed as well as drug store brands of acne treatment. Last year, I met a lady from Israel who happened to be my next door neighbour. She was in her mid-forties and she had the most incredibly beautiful skin. She never wore make-up! Truly, her skin was always healthy and glowing and completely blemish free. She introduced me to Ahava products (which I got as a Christmas gift from her) and the package consisted of all the essential face products for acne/oily combination skin: Purifying Gel, Purifying Mud mask, Mattifying Toner and Mattifying Moisterizer. She taught me how to use the products and within 3-4 weeks, I noticed a dramatic change in the appearance of my skin. My friends and doctor asked what on earth I was doing different. The bumps, scars and leisons started to go away rapidly, I was far less oily; the size of my pores had begun to shrink and my skin took on a healthy glow. At times, people who were use to my traumatic bouts with acne would stop me to ask if I was wearing make-up! By the way, this was hard, but I decided to stop wearing make-up and instead make the effort to achieve flawless skin. So that is my experience with Ahava source for oily skin. I know that people have different experiences with skin products, but for me, this experience was one of the best I have ever had. If you are going to try it, be patient, acne scars and leisons take a while to heal and only consistency will make the products work the way they are capable of. By the way, do some research on the Dead Sea Minerals and its effect on skin conditions--you will be pleasantly surprised! Note, the products are rich so a little goes a very long way. The moisturiser traps moisture in your skin but when you blot your skin, your complexion is smooth and shine free.

This is the best product to use day or night to keep the oily shine away. Using this you will never wake up feeling the grunginess of oily skin! Highly Recommend!

“Not for the slightly oily...”-February 28, 2006
I have slightly oily combination skin and thought that this would help with the oil and shine. Technically it did, just too much so. While my forehead and chin felt fine, it made my cheeks dry, tight, itchy and uncomfortable. The consistency is kind of light and watery, and I really felt like I was dousing my skin in it to try to alleviate the dryness. However, I can see how this could be great for someone with really oily skin. As I said, the moisturizer is really liquidy and light, but it's best feature is probably that it absorbs into the skin completely, leaving behind a totally matte finish. So, I guess this can be a nice product for someone...just not for me.
