I have suffered from cystic acne for decades. This little gem has helped immensely, IF USED PROPERLY, i.e., full session count, cleanse head thoroughly after EACH use, recharge unit when needed, only use on CLEAN skin. Do not cut corners by using for 1/2 session, not cleansing the area prior to use, and not cleaning the head after use.

This product has been a total miracle for me, as long as I followed the instructions. I’ve been using it since last fall and it is the only thing that has worked for my persistent acne (over 15 years of it!). I tried various products over the years and really didn't want to use prescription-strength meds. My acne has mainly been on my chin and never responded well to anything. After just 1 zap per, it literally cleared like almost 90% in just one day, the rest in two days, without damaging or irritating my skin…that was a first (I also use the Clinique 3 step skin care regimen in the morning and at night). The cartridges last a long time at this rate. Using Zeno has been a very positive experience for me because it has also seemed to break the cycle somewhat, with fewer blemishes on my chin and all over too. You will not be throwing your money away with this one because it really works!!

“Really works”-April 15, 2008
I am 22 and have mild acne. I use the MD Skincare products but still get occasional pimples, so I wanted to try this after reading the reviews. It really does work!! The new pimples just shrink and don't get any bigger. Very easy to use. I have very fair skin, so I was worried about the redness, but that goes away after a few minutes. Definitely worth buying. I liked the money-back guarantee.

I bought this a couple of years ago when it first came out. I used it on cystic acne, as well as smaller tiny pimples. Each time, my skin got oilier and the breakouts got worse. Don't waste your money. This product will only make your bad skin even worse.

“Unbelievable”-August 22, 2007
I bought this out of desperation because when I get a pimple, it tends to last over a week and then leave a mark for months. This has been my savior. As soon as I feel a pimple coming on, I zap it and it's gone within a day. I've used it about 60 times so far, and it works 100% of the time for me. I could not live without this device. It's like magic - worth every penny!!!

“I was a Skeptic...But it Really Does Work!”-July 6, 2007
The Zeno works...plain and simple. I rarely get cystic acne, but it must be a hormonal fluctuation due to that time of the month, becuase yesterday morning, I could feel a pretty big nodule forming on my chin. I zapped it with the Zeno yesterday morning, yesterday evening and early this morning (three times maximum). It is now late afternoon and I can see a substantial decrease in the size of the bump. Best of all...NO REDNESS or TENDERNESS! Only a small, little bump remains...and you can't even see it unless you look close. I don't know how Zeno does it, but it works on those hard to get rid of cystic nodules and shortens their life span considerably. If I didn't have the Zeno, I would spend days dealing with redness and tenderness, not to mention a huge bump on my chin. Topical treatments never worked for me on occasional cystic acne, but the Zeno does. Zeno also works on any mild to moderate breakouts I have (I usually only have to use it once or twice on those). I take off a half smile due to the price (kinda steep)...but it really is worth every penny. Makes life alot easier!!!

I don't know what everyone who rated on this site is doing so different that it worked for them. It did nothing for me. The redness stayed, and the pimple didn't budge. Will not use again in fear that it will damage my skin!

I am a big fan of this company, but this product is a bust. I am very dissapointed with the results. Instead of removing a zit it just left red marks on my skin for no less than six hours. I have sensitive skin, so it may work for you. Those with sensitive skin need to be cautious when using this product.

I used Zeno for the first time and was convinced this device works! In a 12 hour period, my blemish was almost half the size and within 24 hours the blemish was GONE. I love the Zeno! I was skeptical at first because I have tried everything. I know your thinking everyone says this but really I have. I am going to be 30 this year and am sick of my face breaking out!! I am a redhead with sensitive skin and I swear my face breaks out if you look at wrong. I admit the Zeno is a little pricy but it has been the best invesment I have ever made. Here's a tip but two relacement tips at a time so you never run out!! “Just what I was looking for!”-May 26, 2006
I have had Zeno for about 2 months now and LOVE it!!! I am 28 and have always had HORRIBLE skin. I get it all... blackheads, whiteheads, millia, and hormonal cystic acne. Over the past year, I have really tried to get my skin in line. I used Proactive for 6 months with very good results. I am very lucky to have found my "secret weapon!" I go get ClearLight (blu-light) acne treatment twice a week by an experencied Medical Aesthetician....and my insurance pays 100%. If you are looking into Zeno, you probably have acne-prone skin. I know that some states regulate these things differently, but here in Louisiana since ClearLight is FDA approved for the treatment of acne, every insurance covers it!!! It has been a GREAT for my skin so you may want to see if ClearLight is offered in your area as well as you insurance policy. Anyway, I stopped using the Proactive and began to purchase products from the lady that does light treatment. About 2 months ago, I had an IUD put in that contains progesterone (which can cause bad cystic, or hormonal, acne.) My skin went CRAZY!!! After discussing it with aesthetician, I decided to try Zeno... she has a much more powerful "ionic zapper" in her office that she was using on my spots each facial. The zeno cleared up those just regular papual pimples as well as the pretty large and painful cystic acne that was being caused by the hormones. I will say, that for the cystic acne, it took around 4-5 times but there were gone in 3 days instead of 2 weeks!!! I am MORE than impressed at how this little machine works. Its not going to help with the blackheads or milia...you need to get a professional extractor for that.) It WILL help with the inflamed papuals and cystic acne. I LOVE my zeno and keep it in my purse... pull it out at first sign of a problem. My husband was not very happy when he found out how much it had cost, but even he was impressed at how well it has worked. If you use this product correctly, you will not regret it!!!!!

“An At home Solution!”-March 30, 2006
I suffer from persistant cystic acne, and I am thrilled with this device. I see a dermatologist regularly, take antibiotics, and use high end skin care. This device has proven to be effective in reducing the size of the pimple, and stopping it from getting any bigger. It is not an overnight solution for severe acne, but you will see improvment within 24-48 hours. I use it 2-3X a day on a hard nodule. The nodule will maintain its' size on day 1, and begin to decease on day two. Acne is a "helpless" condition, and it is a great feeling to be able to have a sense of "control". Normally, I pick or squeeze a pimple at some point, and wind up creating monsters. Because I am being proactive with this device, I find that I am not doing that anymore. True acne sufferers know that there is no miracle, but being able to reduce a disfiguring pimple in a few days is a miracle to me. The directions say it won't work on cystic acne, and not to use it more than 2X a day. You need to figure out what works best for you.

“a very expensive disappointment!!”-March 28, 2006
I have had no positive results at all using this device. I have used it on larger pimples and on tiny, just beginning pimples. Not only did it not get rid of them but I'm not at all convinced it didn't make them worse. At $225 I would expect at least some positive result but saw none at all. I think even 1/2 a smiley face is too much for my opinion of this product.
