“"Retinol Delighted You Found Your Way Back To Me!"”-July 16, 2009
This is a class "A" product for those who may use Retinol without it being harsh to their skin. I just started using it in the evenings prior to bedtime before my night moisturiser.(You must wait 30 minutes prior to applying your next creme afterwards.) I was totally surprised with the fragrance and lightness of the creme along with the ease for handling a retinol product. I am originally from Jamaica, West Indies, where we may get Retinol very easily from a physician. so I am rather familiar with the substance itself. (Stateside most insurance companies will not pay for pure Retinol if you over eighteen, unless it is precertified by your company with a physician's request.) Even then, many insurers will not pay for it as they know women use it for a beauty treatment which may be quite costly out of pocket. I have used topical cremes and gels in the past, some very well known brands. However, they did not smell all that good and were a bit sticky even though they worked well. With SkinCeuticals, it is amazing how they get the creme to have the consistency and strength combined in an easy pump bottle with the texture and fragrance so pleasant. The trick with retinol is to acclimate your skin to it. I suggest using it as the Brand suggests start off slowly, then increase your applications per week. Since I have used Retinol previously I know what my skin may tolerate. I have had not one day of redness, nor burning sensation and after a week I notice a difference with my wrinkles. The trick is to apply the contents very lightly dab it in gently and give it some time to penetrate the sodimeters of the skin. In my experience, I have had friends who applied it to heavily thinking it would work faster, I feel it is just the opposite. The less you apply until your skin adjusts, the less reddening, peeling and harshness your face will have to experience. I have never had those reactions with Retinol as I use it in small amounts and apply common sense along with the treatment. I beleive this a great product as I said for those who may have the ability to bear the ingredients. I go to a renowned Dermatologist in NYC and his Office only sells high end products. SkinCeuticals is among them and more costly than SkinStore. I went to my physician for medical reasons, not beauty treatments so I never thought to purchase the Retinol there. Now, since I have been in NYC with all the pollution, smokers and dust about I am starting to get a bit of wrinkles I did not have before. So I thought it best to try the Retinol once again Stateside. I am thrilled with the effects so far and highly recommend this item for anyone who wants to renew their skin, NEVERTHELESS, please make sure to follow all the companies advice and you will not regret the purchase. This is another product at SkinStore I found to be priced reasonably, albeit, it is a small bottle, hence, one needs to use a tiny drop each time.

“Pump is defective!”-February 26, 2009
I got this today and was excited to try it during my evening beauty routine. To my disappointment, the pump dispenser didn't work. For an expensive and high end product, the simple expectation of a working pump is not too much to ask. It HAS to go back!

“Great product”-January 31, 2009
I'm giving a guys point of view and think this is great on wrinkles and crows feet, yes guys get them too. I started using every night even though it suggested to only start with two nights until you got used to it. I didn't have any negative effects like dry skin or peeling. I noticed a difference in my appearance right away. I also have oily skin and this product didn't make me break out or feel greesy on my face.
I wrote a glowing review of the product. After 6 weeks I am disgusted. The pump bottle does not work anymore. I still use the product every other day so there is plenty left. Last night the bottle gave me one small sqirt and then nothing. Tonight a smaller sqirt and then nothing! I can not get anything more out of the bottle. Yes, I will open the top and get more lotion out. But. I paid $52.00 I expect better. Now I will not buy this again. Philosophy and Affirm have retinol products with better containers!!

“It does work!!!”-November 22, 2008
I am a skin care junkie. I must admit i use a product until it is gone and skip to the next one. I know i need to give them more time but I can't help it. I read the reviews about this and knew I needed to use very little. I use it every other night. On the other night I use Roc deep wrinkle Yes, this does make your skin peel. I use spf 30 during the day and my skindoes feel more sensitve after using this. after 2 weeks of using I looked in the mirror today andmy skin looks better!! The 1 oz. bottle looks smaller than others of the same size, but you use so little every couple of days it should last a long time. I will probably reordr this.

“Great Product, BUT!!!”-September 7, 2008
The pump bottle is horrible. You have to pum a million times to get a tiny bit of cream out, and when you get down near the end, you have to pry the top off and use a Cotton swab to ge the rest. I love the Tube Afirm uses, and I can use it to the last drop.

“Miracle!”-August 28, 2008
I used this for the first time ever 5 days ago. I didn't notice much except that my skin was way more sensitive in the sunlight - so I took precautions. I put it on for the 2nd time in a week last night after some mild peeling after day 4. As soon as it sunk in, I saw a noticeable difference. I'm not kidding, I looked 10 years younger! I called my husband in and he said "not that you needed it, but it looks like you had a mini face lift". I have been glancing at myself in the mirror all day. I can't wait to show my girlfriend who is addicted to botox. I am extremely happy with this product and the super fast shipping + extra samples I received. “LOVE THIS STUFF”-April 23, 2008
This has totally transformed my skin. I have used so many other pricey products and this is the ONE. IT took my skin 6 weeks to adjust and you will peel and get red. Take is slow and use additional calming cream. I could tell a difference in 1 week and now after 3 months my skin is perfect and all my acne is controlled and my skin is sooo smoothe and firm. I still have dryness and just really mouisturize overnight.

“This is good stuff, but take it slow!”-March 25, 2008
I have flushing rosacea, and fair, sun sensitive, sun damaged, hyper sensitive, freckled skin. I started using Retinol 0.5 once a week at night. I progressed upto every night over a period of many months and when the bottle was empty moved onto Retinol 1.0 once every 5 days. I am now upto every second night. I have now been using Retinol for about a year and am very happy with the results. My skin is clear, the texture and appearance smooth, and fine lines have been reduced. I have never peeled, but when I have tried to apply more regularly than the skin has been able to tolerate, my skin felt irritated. I use two pumps of product (about size of small pea) and mix with my evening moisturiser. This maybe a small bottle, but lasts a long time (especially since I haven’t been using it every night). If you haven’t used Retinol products before, start with Retinol 0.5.

“Best I've Tried for Large Pores in 40's”-March 17, 2008
I'm in my early 40's and have combination skin with an oily T-zone prone to blackheads, large pores. This product has made a measurable difference already and I've been using it for less than a month. I'm so glad I bought it and I know I'll be re-purchasing it. Tiny bottle but you don't need to slather it on- just use an amount the size of a pea. Two pumps does it for me. I don't recommend using it on any blemishes or scratches due to extreme irritation.

“The most effective”-October 24, 2007
Of all the skin-care, anti-wrinkle products I've tried, including some VERY expensive ones (e.g. LaMer), this is the one that worked best and the quickest (I noticed a difference after 3 days!). Wish I'd know about it sooner.

“This one works!”-December 11, 2006
After using other over the counter Retinol products, I noticed a difference immediately with this one. I do have to use it carefully, because unlike lesser products, this one really will cause some stinging or peeling at first. My 45 year old skin doesn't look 20, but it is some fabulous looking 45 year old skin!

“Can't live without it.”-November 7, 2006
Changes my skin's appearance immediately. Evens out complexion, reduces the size of my pores, I'm 45 and I think this has made my skin look better than when I was in my 30's. First time I feel good about my skin without make-up. I will never be without it.

“Amazing skin”-October 21, 2006
I am fair skinned with naturally auburn hair, and although I have used sunscreen my entire life(concentrating even more beginning in my teenage years on my face,chest and neck), I have started to notice crow's feet and a frown line in between my eyebrows. I am 39. I have tried every over the counter item for wrinkles on the market mainly because it's just fun to try new potions. This one is the real deal. I have only been using it for a week, and have noticed a significant softening of my fine lines. It has also given my skin a radiance I haven't seen in a while. I look refreshed,alert, and renewed! Retinol itself is one on the few ingredients on the market that has objective, scientific proof of its results for over the counter products. The company also tells you right on the bottle just how much retinol is in it, which most do not, many products do have enough in there to make a difference. I tried Botox for awhile, until I found out it is/was tested on animals. I decided I'd rather look old than contribute to the torture of animals. Be prepared to peel until your skin gets used to it. I have tried Retin-A in the past and I feel this to be as good if not better. It is also cheaper. The results are worth it. It is not the least expensive or the most expensive out there, but well worth the money.

“No different with Retin-A”-February 24, 2006
I think it is no different with retin-a. The result is the same, peel off. After peel off, dont use the creamn for a week, then you'll see the skin texture is excellence. So, I dont think I'll buy another tube as the result is the same as retin-a.

I saw peeling after the first time I applied it on my face. I have been using it for 4 months now. I cannot use it more than 2 times a week because my skin gets irritated. My skin looks better, the pores are smaller. I like it.

I've only used this product twice, but can see a difference already. It exfoliates while you sleep- its great. I use this about 2 to 3 times a week, and notice a difference already. It is definitely worth buying. Work great with "Intense Line Defense" the nights i don't use the retinol.

“highly recommended”-March 7, 2005
This product is highly effective in exfoliating skin. When a couple of days or so, your skin will begin to peel (my skin peeled better with this product than retin a). What you're left with is smoother, clearer, brighter skin which is less prone to breakouts. The only complaint is that it is you pay a lot for very little. It looks like a sample size container.
