Any product with azelaic acid is best out there for rosacea. 10% was considered prescription strength just 2 yrs. ago. 20% is now available via prescription. Nothing has worked better for me. Takes time - must use consistently for a few months, but it keeps bacteria that causes the pimples at bay and greatly reduces redness and brown spotting. I notice a serious difference when I stop using for periods of time. I'm married to a doc, have used everything there is, plus IPL (which is also good but costly), and I highly recommend any product with this key ingredient. If this product price is too much, see your doc and look into how much the prescription version would cost under your insurance plan. Just remember to be consistent and use for several weeks (acne rosacea may get worse at first, then better after 6 wks. or more); side effects are mild and diminish over time - use less frequently if needed. Compared to prescriptin Differin, RetinA and other products for rosacea, this one has less side effects and drying in my opinion. A little goes a long way as well. I also use a gentle exfoliator to remove dead or drying skin from this product, along with an oil-free moisturizer for sensitive skin if my skin becomes a little dry with product. Note, IPL is great - but results only last around 3 mths. regards warding off bacteria that causes the acne rosacea. This can be used long term for less price. Make it part of your routine, give it time, and you will look up and realize after a while how much better your skin is doing. Like any skin care routine - must be consistent, make sure skin is clean and dry before applying, allow to dry b/f makeup application, and do not store in bathroom, areas of high heat or very cold temps.

“Some improvement, but may be too soon to tell.”-July 8, 2007
I have been using this product 1 or 2X per day for 3 weeks, and my skin has slightly less "reddness". I have a very mild case of rosasea, slightly oily in my t-zone, no acne, and average size pores (larger around my t-zone). This product starts out very "tingling" and somewhat "sticky" on the face at first, but it dries smooth to the touch within a couple of minutes. Overall, I noticed a bit less reddness (nothing too drastic), but my pores appear a bit smaller on my t-zone and my skin overall looks fresher. I will continue to use it in hopes to see longer-lasting improvement in my reddness. However, at $70-80 per bottle (x bottles per year?), I wonder if I would see more improvement with a more expensive laser treatment.
