The description for this item states that it is a "silky, foaming cleanser." It does not foam; that is my only complaint. This cleanser is quite enjoyable. It has an aroma of lavender and a slimy consistency, but it is soothing. A little goes a long way with this cleanser. I use this cleanser in the a.m. and other Susan Ciminelli cleansers in the p.m. I particularly like these cleansers because they have eight or less ingredients, no added fragrance, and no harsh chemicals.
